Time to chase some brilliant Pink Elephants across the desert thanks to some very magical peanuts.
With 4096 ways to win, this Pink Elephants slot online is not for the faint of heart. If you avoid getting trampled, however, you might just reach Nirvana.
Thunderkick are known for making some weird and whacky slot machines. Pink Elephants may be one of the weirdest games to come out of the minds of their brilliant designers.
This is not a bad thing. In fact, it is a great thing.
We have watched a lot of wildlife documentaries and we have never heard of a pink elephant. You would think that this is the craziest part of the slot, but it isn’t. There is a genuine story here (kudos to the boffins at Thunderkick studios).
For some obscure reason, the pink elephants of a nondescript desert in Africa have decided to track down a mythical magic peanut.
It is never quite explained why they want that magical peanut, we just know that they need it badly. We assume it is what makes the elephants pink.
It is little story quirks like this which make Thunderkick slots enjoyable. The story is often shallower than an evaporated puddle, but it still adds a sense of substance to the game.
The animations are beautiful, but never over the top. It is evident that the artists have spent a long time perfecting the overall look of the game.
If we had one complaint, it is on the music side of things. This game is set in the African desert, but the music sounds almost Indian in nature. Small gripe, we know.
Before we dive into the brilliant features, we want to point out one huge issue that Thunderkick games always seem to have: that is that the instructions are abysmal – same goes for Esqueleto Explosivo, the Sunset Delight game, or any others.
They pack in feature after feature, but their instructions are never anything more than a poorly annotated text document.
No graphics. Nothing. It took us a good while to wrap our heads around exactly what this Pink Elephants video slot was offering, but boy were we glad it did.
This is one of the highest volatility slots around now. You will barely win that much from the base game, even as 4096 ways to win slot machine.
If you want those wins, then you are going to need to trigger the bonus feature (yes, it involves the magical peanut). This bonus feature then has a bonus feature of its own.
There are bonus features stacked upon bonus features here! This means that to nail the big wins, you need to be very lucky, much like in Golden Fish Tank by Yggdrasil.
The first symbol you are going to be on the lookout for is the green peanut. A neon green. We assume that this is the most magical peanut of them all.
After every spin, up to five of these can be added to the reels randomly to increase your chances of triggering the bonus round.
Other than this, your scatters will be the normal magical peanuts. Still pretty amazing, but they have retained a little of their peanut colour and have a distinct glow to them.
The number of peanuts you get (this includes the random peanuts) dictates the number of free spins you get in the bonus game:
In true Thunderkick style, they have added an extra feature into the free spins mode.
This is where the high volatility comes from. As you play, you will collect elephant orbs. These orbs will fill up the various meters on the screen.
When you fill up a meter for a symbol, those symbols will all turn into pink elephants, which gives you a greater chance of winning huge sums of cash as it’s the highest paying symbol of them all.
It is exceedingly difficult to get all these filled up so don’t expect massive wins even if you hit the bonus round.
You can trigger even more free spins during this game mode. The numbers are a bit different, though. You can earn either 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 depending on the number of peanuts you scored.
We had fun playing the Pink Elephants mobile slot, much as we did online.
But we know that the game is not going to be to everybody’s tastes. The high volatility can put some people off.
However, remember; high volatility means higher cash prizes. If you have a decently sized bankroll then you will benefit from playing.
Along the way, you will be enjoying one of the best-animated games to come from Thunderkick studios in a long while – and that includes the equally volatile Birds on a Wire game.
